happy

So my blog pal Naomi, of the famous rockstar diaries had the wonderful idea to write down ten little things that make you happy.

I have to say, just writing my own list, made me happy. It always helps to remember and recognize the little things in life that make life worth living.  Thanks Naomi, you're a good gal.

Here is my list...

1. waking up to my niece and nephews giggles
2. surprises
3. playing whiffle ball at the park
4. Elevensies - includes the people you love + favorite soda & snack
5. my tv shows
6. sarcasm
7. baseball games on hot summer days
8. sister secrets
9. thinking about the day i get to see my best friend seth again
10. eating out + diet coke

Now write your own if ya dig

Commercials.....

Usually I am not fond of commercials, which is strange because my Dad has spent most of his working life in the ad industry.  Luckily DVR and the mute button provide me with much less time annoyed by lame and obnoxious commercials.

Although.....because I feel like I've seen so many bad commercials I can really appreciate the good ones.  These seriously put a smile on my face every time I see them. Holla!

Dr. Pepper Commercial

Citi Identity Theft Commercial

Seriously clever Sprite Commercial

Any others that need to be added to the list?
This has nothing to do with this post except that this picture puts a smile on my face everytime I see it.  Sheer terror in her face,  and it's priceless that someone got a picture of it.

Dear Boys,

I know you think texting a girl for a date is easy and safe. Everyone texts for everything, right? WRONG! You may be really hot and wear sexy aviator glasses, but when you send me a text that says "hey, want to go out Friday night?" you make it WAY easy for me to say no to you. If you can't talk to me enough to call me on the phone, then how do you expect to talk to me enough on a 4 hour date? I'm so over the date text and I think most girls would agree.

Fashion Tribute

Spring Break always consists of a trip to St. George, this year was no exception. Although, this year did differ in the fashion dept. The grandparents have a house in Beaver and a house in St. George so that means G-ma has clothes and accessories at both houses, JACKPOT. This woman can pull off any look, her closet was filled with many different styles, and we tried them all. Here's to you Grandma Mary, you are one fashionable broad.

(We found a baby floral hammer in her scarf drawer that accessorized nicely with many of the ensembles. Dear Grandma, I know you only use the computer to play cards, but if you ever see this will you please leave the hammer to me....your namesake. Lovingly Yours, R.Mary)

Picture Treasures

If I ever adopt a child it may be a little tempting to do this.  I mean, there is no gentle way to tell someone they're adopted so I guess you might as well go big right?!

My roommate and her boyfriend bought a great dane.  I'm a dog lover, I am, but I am particular about dogs.  The only way I'm letting this animal into my house is if it wears these boots all the time and with nips like this, it better wear a bra too.
If I wake up to this, EVER, I'm letting it run away and then I'll blame it on Ally.  This is freaky, it looks like a human, a very flexible human! No way, I am not down with this.
